Attached is a support membership application with a checklist of supporting documentation. When we receive this information and verify the content, we will present your application to the Rescue Leaders and Board of Directors of Mountain Rescue Aspen.
Mountain Rescue Aspen is a volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through backcountry rescue and mountain safety education. Pledges interested in becoming support members must understand the time commitment necessary. Support membership is an entry-‐level position, which will allow you to participate in rescue missions. The important thing to understand is that support membership begins a rigorous program of learning rescue techniques that are specific to our team. Our commitment is to help you achieve these skills. Those who show interest and attend the necessary meetings and trainings will be given our full support and attention. Support members who do not meet the standards or show inconsistency in meeting our standard will be asked to step down and make room for other support members. Acceptance is not a given and will depend on space availability and approval.
Mountain Rescue Aspen is a serious commitment with members and associates who bring great value to this community. Bringing new, qualified and committed members is one of our greatest challenges and opportunities.
We want to thank you for giving us a chance to review your application.
